We are so glad you are here! Ever since the idea of writing the Flow of Kittens became a serious effort not just a dream, I’ve wondered what it would be like to be an author. I’ve written serious stuff before, like my dissertation. But this was a true labor of love. I wanted it to be something more than just a book. After all, it’s a part of my life that I am sharing, a very special part.

Welcome to the home page of The Flow of Kittens! It’s a special place where my family and I get to share some more of our experiences with the kittens, some pictures and a few videos from when we first laid eyes on them. As I look back it was a not a great time for our family. In September of 2009 there was too much worry, to many bills and no income. And yet, in our darkest days four of the cutest little miracles arrived, plus Mom, right on our door step!

I learned my lessons well from my mother. When guests arrive, feed them! And of course, I’m sure you can imagine the rest of the story. But it wasn’t quite so simple. From the very start we were fixated on watching the kittens play, eat and sleep. It was a reason to get up in the morning. When one of the kittens was missing, it was a reason to worry. And, when all was well, it was a reason to relax and count our blessings. It was also a reason to begin to plan ahead. After all, they couldn’t stay outside by themselves since winter was coming. The worry of that alone would have been too much for us to handle. As it turns out, a looking forward mindset gave us a needed boost.

As the story unfolded, I started thinking that it would make for a nice book, after all living through it gave us hope and much needed joy. Maybe I could spread a little bit of joy to others. I had always wanted to write a book, so I started outlining the story. I decided to write the Flow of Kittens: Kitten Therapy as just that, therapy. I wrote the outline for the book and stories while unemployed in 2010. It took me some time, but I finally got it done!

The book has a lot of love inside! I wrote it from the heart, even baring things that are kind of embarrassing. Most of all, I hope it you have fun reading it. About Us

We are an average family living in the wonderful town of Flower Mound, in North Central Texas. My wife Monica and I have been married for over 25 years and have been blessed with two wonderful children, Katrina and Nicholas, and with a bunch of wonderful cats! A few years have past, since I started the book, the kids are older, the kittens are now cats, and life moves on. I’m happy to say that the joy we experienced that first night, looking at the kittens through the window, we get to relive every day. When Patches pounces on his unsuspecting brother or sister, or when Sabrina plops in my lap and purrs in my ear. It’s magical.
